EAST LIVERPOOL — Linda L. Wickstrom, of Newell, handed away immediately Monday, February 22, 2021 on the East Liverpool Metropolis Hospital. She was 78.
Born in Newell, October 28, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Frank A. and Mildred R. Bailey Laneve. She was raised in Newell and attended highschool at Our Woman of Mercy Academy in Pittsburgh. She would later graduate from Carlow Faculty the place she earned a level in arithmetic and minored in physics. After faculty, Linda was a math trainer at Chester Junior Excessive and later labored at Baltimore Enterprise Machines in gross sales after which grew to become chief programmer at Babcock and Wilcox.
A member of Sacred Coronary heart Church and had been attending Holy Trinity Parish, she authored a pictorial historical past e book of St. Aloysius Church. She was related to the Hancock County Republican Social gathering the place she served on the manager committee as parliamentarian. Linda was an avid golfer at one time and authored the e book “Possum Crossing, A Story of A Place in West Virginia.”
She is survived by her husband, Gail A. Wickstrom, whom she married at Sacred Coronary heart Catholic Church on July 6, 1974. She can be survived by a sister, Donna Cercone and her husband, Eugene, of Conway, Pennsylvania, and a brother, Dr. Samuel A. Laneve of Dayton.
Along with her dad and mom, she was preceded in demise by three sisters, Mildred A. Laneve, Gloria R. Laneve and Marilyn Kautz, in addition to a brother, Dr. John F. Laneve.
A Mass of Christian Burial can be celebrated by Rev. Scott Kopp at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Parish. Pals could go to Thursday from 5 to eight p.m. on the Dawson Funeral Residence. Burial can be at Columbiana County Memorial Park. Masks and social distancing are required.
